All words here are my own because no one actually contacted me to do this, I am simply bragging about my clean skin.
So I have recently had a birthday and of course with birthdays, the age number goes up. I am not paranoid about ageing (well only a little bit), but I have changed one thing in my routine that I have never really done before – thoroughly clean my skin. Before you comment “Oh Natalie, that’s disgusting”, I mean if I wear makeup I wash it off but if I am having a makeup free day, my skin suffers.
But I asked myself – How clean is your skin?
Here is where I brag – I have always had good skin. Even as a teenager, pimples were few and far between. I have a natural tanned complexion, very few markings on my face and wrinkles are there but nothing too dramatic.
Until recently when I started to really notice my dark circles under my eyes and my skin seemed to have lost its “Sex and The City” sparkle to it.
So I headed over to OLAY and took the personalised skin care test to see exactly what it is the experts recommended. The results were:
TO CLEANSE
Regenerist Advanced Cleaning System – It provides 4X better cleansing (vs. basic cleansing) helps maximize the immediate hydrating effectiveness of your anti-aging moisturizer.
I love it. The gentle brush rotates giving me a deep clean and light exfoliation every time I use it. I use it in the shower so there is no mess and no cold water being splashed on my face, which is one reason I avoid washing my face (poor excuse I know but I hate the cold). It takes me a couple of minutes and I know I am getting deep into my pores (which seem to be getting bigger) and I am starting my day giving my face a lift. You can purchased this at the moment at BIG W for $25 (normally $50)
MOISTURISE
Regenerist CC Moisturiser Medium – This product I absolutely love as it evens my complexion, reduces the little wrinkles I have but mainly evens out the dark spots under my eyes. Even if I am having a makeup free day, wearing this means I don’t looked washed out or like I am a middle-aged woman having a make up free day. You can also purchase this from BIG W for $20 (normally $35)
NIGHT CARE
Regenerist Resurfacing Elixir – OK the word RESURFACING scared me a little as my skin is not that bad and I don’t think I am ready for an entire new face. However, it actually hydrates my skin after the day of being covered in makeup and continues to work while I sleep (good to see something works that late at night). Apparently it tightens skin over night but I am yet to see that tightening. I have tried it on my arms too and NOTHING – still have tuckshop arms. Another bargain from BIG W for only $20 (normally $50)
Finally I have a skin routine –
My only concern is when I read ANTI-AGING as I maybe in my 40’s (early, early 40’s) but I don’t feel old. It was time I started to look after my skin and feel very happy with the results. My 8 year old said I am looking younger everyday… God bless him…
cheers natalie
Clean enough – but tired, because I’m tired!! I got the benefit pink stuff for the circles but I never think to put it on!!

lol tired is the understatement sometimes isn’t it.. I hate it when people say – you look tired but they really mean you look crap.
Probably not as clean as I’d like. I’ve been getting dark circles too lately thanks to not enough sleep. On the plus side, I got asked for my ID twice in two weeks — when buying alcohol and when entering a pub. Something’s obviously working even if I can’t see it. 😛
On thing I’ve started doing recently is applying some coconut oil on my face before bed. I have very sensitive skin and make-up removers etc caused havoc. I’m hoping coconut oil does the trick.

I haven’t heard of coconut oil on the face.. I wonder if it help with dark circles.
