I have your back my friend
Sometimes we need to remind people just how much they mean to us. If a friend is hurting, say to them ‘I have your back’. If your child is having a bad day and thinks the world is against them, say ‘I have your back’. When someone close to you pushes you away because they are drowning and want to drown alone, scream to them ‘I have your back’.
I wrote this quote and shared it on Instagram for someone special who couldn’t find the words to tell a friend:
For my beautiful children, please understand that no matter what you do, I will always be there for and on your side. There are some days you annoy me and I want to walk out, giving up on everything. There are some days when all I dream about is my old life – you know the one before kids when things were so much easier. There are days when you have me in tears, breaking my spirit into many pieces. BUT there are more days when I love coming home and hearing your excited voices as you tell me about how well you went in a test or a basketball game. There are more days that I realise just how lucky I am to have four beautiful and healthy children. There are more days where you feed my spirit and I struggle to contain my joy.
This my children, is for you all:
I have your back
Life is sometimes difficult, determined to get us down but I have your back.
Some days cause immense pain, life shaken to the core, remember I have your back.
When mistakes are made, and shame follows, I have your back.
When friendships are damaged, and you begin to feel lost. I have your back.
Never wake in the morning feeling alone as I have your back.
You are my world, my everything and I will always HAVE YOUR BACK.
